The Moon

šŸŒ™ The Moon šŸŒ™

I will be telling you at least 6 facts about the moon

Craters in the Moon are from meteorites hitting the Moon.

The names of the moon phases are: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter and Waning Crescent.

The Moon helps make the tides.

You only see one side of the Moon.

The Moon is slowly moving away from earth by about 4 centimetres a year. The Moon will appear smaller and in a couple billion years it will look just like another bright star in the sky.

The moon has no air. so there’s no wind on the moon. Astronauts’ footprints will last millions of years because there’s nothing to blow them away.

  2. Hi Brooke,
    I love your facts!
Maybe next time you could make your font bigger so it would be easier to see.

  3. Hi Brooke. I love the way you have read about the Moon first and then written the facts using your own voice. That is a real skill. The diagram you included was very helpful. Could you add some further information about how the moon affects the tides on Earth?
